Elizabeth Grant came from Aberdeenshire and was married to a soldier who died in 1790. She then married a doctor and lived in Bath. She is remembered for her song "Roy's Wife of Aldivalloch", and is not to be confused with the diarist Elizabeth Grant of Rothiemurcus.
