Robert Blair



Blair was the son of a Church of Scotland minister in Edinburgh, and he too became a minister at Athelstaneford in East Lothian. His long poem, "The Grave" (1743), which is possibly influenced by the "Night Thoughts" of Edward Young, was later illustrated by William Blake. Blair died on 4 February 1746. AC
