LINDISFARNE CASTLE

A Tudor fort built in 1542 on Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, which was in use until 1820. It was restored in the early 20th century as a private residence.

Fort Osbourne is an additional gun battery defence built in 1675 to support the castle.
