ST CATHERINES CASTLE

This small castle or fort was built in 1536 to protect Fowey from marine attack, but it is now in poor condition. St Catherines Blockhouses were added either side of Fowey harbour mouth for extra support.

English Heritage open all year.



Directions
A mile south of Fowey on the west bank.
