• Menopausal symptoms : reduces hot flushes and sweats, vaginal and urinary discomfort, loss of libido and mood changes.
• Cardiovascular disease : reduces risk of heart disease by almost 50% and reduces the risk of stroke.
• Osteoporosis : almost halves the risk of osteoporotic fractures if given for 5-10 years.
• Alzheimers disease : the risk of this appears to be lower.
