December 2009 and January 2010 saw some of the heaviest snowfalls in the Black Mount area for almost 50 years. Getting about was very difficult indeed at times, but those who did not have to travel could enjoy the pleasures of a true Winter wonderland in the hills and along the tracks and lanes around our local area.
