Another record year for visitors to our site!

In July 2017, this web site received 864 visitors, the highest number since we were set up in 1995. This new record represents a significant increase in our site traffic.

Those visiting our site were both local and from other parts of Scotland, as well as a considerable number from South of the border. Some were from as far afield as Canada and New Zealand.

Pages visited were primarily those dealing with local information and history, as well as numerous visits to the local accomodation page, indicating that many were gathering information prior to visiting our local area and/or booking bed and breakfast or self-catering accomodation.

The chart shows the number of visitors we have received for the full year. In January, we received 506 visits. In December, we received 598 - a further increase over the December 2015 total.

The site received a total of 8,023 'hits' during 2017, a monthly average of 669.

We will be continuing to record visitor numbers to our site on a monthly basis and will be publishing them each year.
