The Yorkshire Dales

Three Peaks
On the Three Peaks
Trees The sweeping moors of The Yorkshire Dales host scenery unique in Britain - a fascinating region of white limestone cliffs, pavements and gorges.
Walkers here are spoilt for choice. Dark moorland and the abrupt mountains of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent stand proud above a landscape of emerald-green pastures and pale, rock-strewn foothills. Each mountain makes a satisfying walk in its own right. The more energetic, however may wish to tackle them in one go on the famous Three Peaks Walk.

Grassy paths lead through hay meadows beside tumbling waterfalls and past centuries-old barns and marvellous patterns of drystone walls. Old green lanes climb high above ancient villages to magnificent viewpoints.
There are many delightful and charming features which our walks reveal - caves where Viking giants once lived, fascinating ruins of past industries and pretty stone villages which seem to grow from the landscape.
