Sizzling Saints present.......Shania !

Number 42 in our "she supports St Mirren" is none other than Shania Twain (or 'wee Sheena' as she is known to her pals).

We caught up with Shania at her recent performance at TOTP, and asked her a few bud related questions.

When did u start supporting the Mighty St Mirren?

"Well it started at high school...I was a first year pupil at Barrhead High School when I noticed this boy a couple of years above me wearing a black and white strip.

I had a big crush on this lad, so I eventually I plucked up the courage to speak to this boy, and found out that this was a St Mirren strip.  So naturally I had to get one - if only just to impress this boy.  I begged for a top for Christmas,and come xmas morning I was a proud owner of a super saints strip."

"however it needed more than a St Mirren top to turn this boys head.  So eventually I went along to Love Street one cold January day.and watched the mighty Saints, from then I have been hooked and have supported the buds ever since.  I also lost interest in this boy as he could never compete with Doug Rougvie."

Do u get along to Love Street much these days, and do u know what happened to the boy u had a crush on?

"I try and get along as much as I can, however with touring and promoting my music the chance is rare these days, the last game I was at was when we beat our detergently challenged friends from the arse of the bank 3-2 at Love Street"

" as for the boy I had a crush on...I am sure he is the same person that sells SQ at the Albion Street/Love Street corner..I think they call him Millport?"

What is "Man I feel like a woman" really about?

"well it is a little known fact that Paul Fenwick is a cross dresser.  Now that I live in Canada I find that these things are public knowledge,over here it is not known although I think Hugh Scott keeps it well covered up"

What is your favourite pub when u come back home?

" I like the Bull inn, nice quiet wee pub and I like the snugs in the back, Mutt (Hubs) and I find it quiet enough to be alone, but if any buds wanna come and talk to me, don't be afraid"

Who is your favourite current Saints player?

"Oh there are so many at the moment, but it has to be big Scot Walker, this boy has been outstanding,and he is a bit of rough and I like that. lol"

Finally, Any message to the St Mirren Faithful?

" there is not much to say,with the team doing so well,but if the team goes through a bad patch get behind them DON'T BOO THEM(that includes you screaming high pitched witch).
