So who are these Delirious? folk then?

Well,. they're a British band`from Littlehampton in England (for all you Yanks I have no idea where it is either - I'm from Glasgow in Scotland, so don't ask me)

Back in 1992 they were called the Cutting Edge band, playing mainly pure worship songs intended simply for that purpose, not for mass public release.Such songs are now well known in Christian circles, with titles like "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever" and "Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble". I'm reliably informed the band wrote everything on the album, although I didn't believe it at first. How class?

Nonetheless, the two Cutting Edge compilation albums are available from Furious? records priced £14. With quieter, classic songs like those mentioned above, and the insanity of  "The Happy Song", there's something for everyone and they're well worthwhile.

In 96, Delirious? hit the big time in Christian circles at the release of King of Fools, with the new name and a new image as a band for the 90's, describing themselves as "chunky powerpop" (take that as you will). Album sales rocketed the world over, and the public became increasingly aware of them as they played at Wembley in front of thousands of fans and Christians. Cool.

With 99, the band have once again uprated the image, with an all new logo and music style. Stu G's goatee turns black for a start.

See The Star marks a turning point for the band, as their new style hits the streets, and they reach Number 16 in the UK charts. It's just the beginning.
