The day the Soldier's returned

During a recent visit to Ypres, I witnessed one of the many re-enactments taking place during the Summer of 2001. The people involved in these re-enactments can be found at:-

Below are a few of the  photographs I took during these events.

The story being re-enacted at Tuileries British Cemetery, was that of a British soldier's death resulting from him taking "pot shots" at a German plane flying over what is now Tuileries British Cemetery. Dart like devices were dropped from the plane, hitting this soldier in the neck, killing him.
