I have some shots of a hiking bench I made about four years ago, on my hiking-bench page.. Using Dick Tillman's design as a start-point, this one has a big advantage - that it can be folded away. This means that you can drag it out in your living-room to watch the match (football, baseball, rugby, bowls, croquet) and put it away afterwards. Excellent for ski-season training. Stained and varnished, it makes a novel coffee-table, the envy of your non-sailing friends. Breaks the ice at parties - everyone will want a go (though they might not be so pleased at finding out how weak they are!) Your cat may even adopt it as 'home', so you won't be allowed to take it down.
