Mellor players help Aerospace to trophy win

Mellor players lifted a trophy on Thursday with their Sunday side Senior Aerospace, managed by next season's Mellor second team boss Alan Whelan. Andy Given (pen), Luke Jubb and Terry Boon (also voted Man of the Match) were on the scoresheet as Aerospace beat Offerton Nomads 4-2 in the final of the Paul Bailey Memorial Shield at Woodley Sports Centre. Other Mellor players involved were Marc Green, Mark Oldham, Chris Coram, Craig Frisby, Mike Palmer, Chris Porter, Ryan Yates and unused sub Nick Parker.
