Deniz's Computer Game Reviews.

My favorite computer games are Golden Eye on the Nintendo 64 and Championship Manager on the P.C.

On Golden Eye you take on the role of James Bond in a 3D 'Doom' style shoot 'em up and you have to complete tasks given to you by M with the gadgets provided by Q. In my opinion this has to be the greatest shoot 'em up on any format to date.

Championship Manager is a realistic football management game where you have to take control of a football team in order to give them success or you are prone to be sacked by your chosen club, and left to find another club who might take you on to make use of your services if you have made a name for yourself.

While you were enjoying the sun last summer, a World-wide network of soccer experts were keeping a trained eye on all the wheelings and dealings of the football world, to bring you the latest, greatest version of the world's most successful football management game. Championship Manager - Season 97/98 places you once more in the dugout of your favourite club managing your squad for the new season complete with all the latest transfers and signings.

Featured in the game is a feast of European football. All of the new 97/98 English, Scottish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Belgian and Spanish Leagues are included! Tens of thousands of up to date, accurate player statistics and histories. Play up to three different national leagues in parallel. Editor allowing the changing of player, manager and team data. The chance to become an International manager and compete in the European Championships and World Cup. Also includes Under 21 international squads and matches. Up to eight human managers playing at once. The New 24 team UEFA Champions League format. Messages about transfers, results and injuries involving big names in football. Improved match engine with better text commentary and more build-up descriptions. This has to be the best football management game ever devised to date.
