A Day Out with the Buses

One fine day a friend and I drove to London to get some more information for my site. We traveled over the 38 route to Victoria Station and video some very good shots of buses leaving Victoria Stn. It brought back many memories to me when I drove on this route, except there was not as many buses today.

My friend did the driving as I did the filming. I must say David has done a lot to my site to get it up and running. My thanks goes out to him. Now onto what this site is all about (BUSES) and my thoughts about them.

I wanted to start filming when we got to Bakers Arms Leyton East London, but it was quite some time before we saw a 38 bus,the headways on this route now must be at least 15 to 20 mins, the first bus we saw was at Hackney and it was very busy, click here to see a video of it.

As you will see the traffic in London can be a problem for buses on route to its destination, with cars parked both sides of the road and jay walkers, a driver has to keep his eyes open and be alert. One of the sites we saw as we drove along was a three wheel bike obviously used for deliverys, on the back it had Red Star Parcels, click here to see a video of it we thought was worth a mention and that we should put a video of it on my web site, very amusing.

On the return from Victoria we saw a 38 bus that had been involved in a accident, the bus did not stop after the accident, it had done quite a lot of damage to the car and the car driver ran after the bus and caught up with at the traffic lights, but he still did not stop I got a video of the damage on the bus as you will see on the As an ex road inspector I felt I had to make note of it.

One of the best shots was the bus leaving Victoria, I hope you enjoy this update to my site.
