What is it?

      ANNUAL CLUBS CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Annual Clubs Championship is held each year to find the top projected image and print clubs in the area. It is a competition for club entries not individuals. Each club in the area is entitled to enter the competition if they pay a small entry fee. The club selects its entry from pictures submitted by its own members. There are separate competitions for projected images and prints..

In each section the pictures from all the competing clubs are shown to a panel of three judges. An electronic scoring machine is used and each judge can award from 2 to 5 marks to each picture. Therefore the most a picture can score is 15. The three judges are selected from the N.C.P.F. Judges List.

At the end of the first round the top scoring clubs go through to the final and the other clubs go to a consolation event. The final requires additional pictures to be submitted by each club. The club achieving the highest score is the winner. The top two clubs in the projected image event are invited to represent the Federation in the P.A.G.B. National Slide Finals at Warwick. The top two print clubs are invited to the P.A.G.B. National Print Finals at Connah's Quay.

The event takes place in front of an audience. Members of any N.C.P.F. affiliated club can attend as a spectator. It is an opportunity to see the top pictures from around the area.
