The Boat...
'Cirrus' is based at Amlwch Port in Anglesey. It holds a CAT.2 DTp. Code of Practice and can travel upto 60 miles offshore. Access to the boat is via quayside ladders, depending upon the state of tide. Free parking is available to divers within the port area. The vessel is a fast offshore 105 enabling rapid, safe transit to the dive site.
There is a spacious deck area to kit up on. Pictured here is one of the many Technical Diving courses run aboard 'Cirrus'.
On-board: Toilet for the Ladies and shy Gents Radar, Depth Finder, Fish Finder, Chart Plotter, DGPS, Decca. Oxygen Kit, VHF radio, Life Rafts.
Entry to the water is taken care of, via a backwards roll, two at a time. Stanchion and guardrail have been omited on the stern starboard quarter to facilitate this.
Recovery from the water is via a centre spine ladder fitted to the centre of the transom, with a gate to deck level. A wide deck area assists with de-kitting.
