REAPERS BACK ON TOP FOR FIRST TIME SINCE CHRISTMAS MAUDLERS TURN ON THE STYLE |

The Chopstix were unceremoniously dumped from the top of league - a position that they had held since Christmas. And who are back at the top. Yes, The Grim Reapers and their new manager, Kid Charlemagne, expressed his delight. " We're on top earlier than I thought we would be but the team is scoring goals for fun and the injured players are on their way back." The Chopstix will be looking at their team this week to see what has gone wrong since the opening weeks of the season. The pressure is now back on Padi Fields as he once again finds himself in the chasing pack and having to make decisions. But it is looking like we could be in for a close battle this season. Big Mac's Maudlers have made some shrewd transfers which paid off at the weekend as they top scored with 45 points to move into second place, there highest league position since May 1998 when winning the championship. |
Whilst 2 points separate the top three only 30 points separate top from 5th. The Mainstreet Boys continue to impress in their debut season, whilst The Pajamas have suffered from two bad weeks and have slipped down from a challenging 3rd spot. At the bottom end of the table The Schizos finally got their season under way and pulled some points back. Back'N Better have some serious work to do if they are to pick up the pace. |
