SONGS FROM SPOON RIVER - a series of five short films by Paula Downes, completed in 2009. The films are visual realisations of musical imagery, combining ocular narrative with Andrew Downes' song cycle, Songs from Spoon River, for soprano and piano, a setting of five poems from Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology.
