an excellent general site and the home of Adopt-A-Cow.
Friends of The Earth
always an interesting site. particularly for campaign information.
Greenpeace
the UK branch of this high profile campaigning organisation.

a very topical area, particularly now that the Protection Treaty has finally been signed by all countries concerned with Antarctica. The site has a wide range of information, including a section for 'Schools and Students'.
World Conservation Monitoring Centre
a UK based organisation which does as the name suggests - it checks what is going on. It is most useful for the databases on Forest Areas, on Protected Areas, etc. It includes some nice maps.
World Wide Waste Web
everything you ever wanted to know and probably a few things that you would rather not know, about waste and recycling. It includes links to such sites as ROTWEB - keep the nose pegs on for that one! If you're doing a project on recycling, this could keep you going for a long time.
International Union of Air Pollution & Environmental Protection Associations
with a title like that, it has to be useful...
UK Environment Facts and Figures
the Department of the Environment provides both facts and figures on a wide range of environmental topics.
UK Air Quality Bulletin
this site has tons of data and information on air pollution, including real-time data. Scary stuff.| Website hosted by: Easyspace | |
