Publishers
Slowly but surely, the major publishers are beginning to use the web. Most now have a site. The contents vary from basic contact addresses to sophisticated publishing sites in their own right. Many allow you to order catalogues and books online. A few such as Stanley Thornes and Nelson see the Internet as a way to link up with schools, teachers and parents. These particular companies are trying to provide a wide range of additional material and you can e-mail them with your comments. This is an innovation we should praise and encourage. Try them out. Not all the companies listed focus strongly on Geography texts but they are nevertheless included as major publishers.
