Description This species is incompletely known according to Tillich 2005

Rhizome: creeping

Leaves: solitary to ca [?]; cataphylls undescribed; petiole ca. 25 cm; lamina elliptic, tip apiculate, base attenuate, ca. 45 cm long x 14 cm wide.

Peduncle: erect, ca. 4 cm with ca. 3 bracts (two subtending flower; flowers solitary.

Perianth [Perigone]: campanulate; tube ca. 1 cm long x 1 cm diameter; lobes 8 (- 10) with basal appendage protruding into the perigone opening.

Stamens: 8 (- 10).

Pistil: table-shaped; style [undescribed], stigma in upper view 4-lobed, deeply emarginate without central appendages; ovary undescribed.

Fruit: ca. 1 cm long x 1 cm wide covered with downward pointing curved spines.

Phenology: undescribed
