Aspidistra tubiflora
Accepted name Aspidistra tubiflora Tillich. Feddes Repert. 117(1-2): 141 (143, 145; fig. 3). (2006). Synonyms Distribution China (Sichuan) Description Rhizome: creeping, epigeous. Leaves: solitary [?] to ca. 85 cm; cataphylls undescribed; petiole ca. 15 cm; lamina narrow lanceolate to nearly lineate, 60 - 70 cm long x 2.7 cm wide, base narrow cuneate, very gradually tapered to petiole, green, with ca. 20 parallel secondary veins on either side of mid-vein, with scattered anastomoses; mid-vein inconspicuous adaxially, prominent abaxially.
Peduncle: 4 - 8 cm long, decumbent, cataphylls small, ovate, 2 - 3 distantly along the peduncle and 2 close to flower; flowers solitary.
Perianth [Perigone]: tubular; tube 2.5 cm long x 12 - 15 mm diameter, basally widened, upper half cylindrical, 8 - 9 mm diameter, lobes 6, narrow, lineate 11 - 12 mm long x 2 mm wide, adaxially with two keels running to base of tube.
Stamens: 6, positioned at base of tube, filaments 4 mm long, their bases broadly triangular, in contact to each other and to base of ovary, anthers 1 mm long, incurved to style base.
Pistil: funnelform [?], 10 mm long; style ca. 3 mm long, stigma funnel-shaped (?) or trilobed, diameter ca. 4 mm; ovary conical, 4 mm long x 4 - 5 mm diameter basally, finely furrowed.
Fruit: undescribed.
Phenology: flowers November - December.
