It is interesting that the stamens are prominent in the perigone tube. Are these male flowers? Or is the stigma beneath the stamens?
Aspidistra fungilliformis is the only other species that, at least sometimes, has prominent stamens and again it is unclear whether flowers are sometimes male or the relative positions of stigma and stamens are reversed
