Comments The name Hedychium forrestii is applied to a widely grown plant in UK gardens that I believe is not Hedychium forrestii at all - see next page.
Hedychium forrestii Diels is a good species but rare in the UK in general cultivation. Material that is believed to be Hedychium forrestii Diels is now available in the trade in the UK but unfortunately The RHS Plant Finder (2008 - 2009) is incorrect. I do not believe that any of the nurseries listed sell Hedychium forrestii Diels. I think all of them sell Hedychium forrestii Hort. The Plant Finder makes no value judgement as to the veracity of the names supplied by nurseries that it lists.
