Iochroma cyaneum purple-flowered is an accepted name in the RHS Horticultural Database. It is currently (2008) sold by Hill House Nursery & Gardens, Nr Ashburton, Devon, TQ13 7LY.

Iochroma cyaneum is known to be a variable plant and there is much variation in flower colour. Julian Shaw gave cultivar names to four clones of Iochroma cyaneum in cultivation in the UK and this plant is referable to 'Trebah'.
