is the Calcutta 4 form of Musa acuminata Colla mentioned by Cheesman 1948 b
included under subsp. burmannica by Simmonds 1956. It is a moot point
whether subsp. burmannicoides should be differentiated from subsp. burmannica
itself; Ken Shepherd (1990, p. 161) considers the separation "unjustified". |
