Description Grows up the left branch of the Daintree - stems about 20 feet high, robust and very green, leaves about 12 feet long standing at nearly right angles ot the stem, bunch of fruit drooping - fruit triangular, yellow when ripe and full of seed - flower french white with purplish tips.

Simmonds 1956 comments that Musa fitzalani F. Muell. is [or rather was] allied to Musa schizocarpa.

The name is mis-spelled M. fitzalini in Champion 1967.
