| Description |
Grows up the left branch of the Daintree - stems about 20
feet high, robust and very green, leaves about 12 feet long standing at nearly right
angles ot the stem, bunch of fruit drooping - fruit triangular, yellow when ripe and full
of seed - flower french white with purplish tips. (from the note
accompanying the type specimen [Fitzalan, "Musa no. 3", Daintree River, in Herb.
Melbourne] from Simmonds 1956). |

Musa schizocarpa.
