| Comments |
This is one of several Indonesian banana cultivars given a
spurious species name by Takenosin Nakai. Nakai says of it in his idiosyncratic
English, "A remarkable pale banana easily discriminated from a
distance. It has always one-celled ovary being very stranger among Musa.
There are three different colored garden forms, or, pale creamy yellow, green and
pinkish cremy yellow. Fruits bend like the horn of oxen and goats. The flesh
can eat after it is roasted or fried." |
