According
to Reynolds this is cv 'Lady Finger'. Reynolds says the fruit is very sweet and
implies non-acidity. The accepted name is therefore more probably Musa (AA
group) (e.g. 'Sucrier') and not Musa (AB group) (e.g. 'Ney Poovan'). Stover
& Simmonds 1987 point out that the name Lady Finger has been applied to
cultivars of both groups. |
