Comments This is the type of Nakai's subgenus Rectispica. After some words about "Musa troglodytarum L. {Musa uranoscopos RUMPHIUS and MIQUEL} or Pissang Tuncat Langit" Nakai comments that "Musa rectispica is other thing from Musa troglodytarum. However, it is cultivated much more by Ambonese as they believe its sexual effectiveness. Though RANT distinguished it as Pisang Tuncat Langit Alifuru from Musa troglodytarum or Pisang Tuncat Langit, it passes among the natives as Pisang Tuncat Langit (means stick-like banana directing heavenward, or standing male organ".
