Authorities	The authorities for the accepted name are Cheesman 1947a and Simmonds 1960. The World Checklist of Monocotyledons lists Musa superba Roxb., Pl. Coromandel 3: 17 (1811) as a synonym of Ensete superbum (Roxb.) Cheesman, Kew Bull. 2: 100 (1947 publ. 1948) which is listed as an accepted name.
