SWORD OF TRUTH Kyanite occurs typically in pegmatites and quartz veins associated with schists. The name kyanite comes from the Greek word kyanos, meaning ‘blue’. A kyanite blade has a very focused swift action: it holds the keys to knowledge, the blue ray of communication. Kyanite works on the following body parts: thyroid and parathyroid; upper lungs; jaw; arms: base of the skull; and body weight. Kyanite integrates the bodies’ energies into the head and so can, with conscious attunement, align all the chakras. Kyanite is the seeker of truth and will combat fear of speaking the truth. You can tell if someone has problems expressing themselves: they tend to hold their head down with the chin on the chest. This shows the person is unprotected in the throat chakra. Such people have to clear their throat frequently, because metaphysically they are being choked by the truths they have swallowed. Their voice may be dull or weak, even monotonous in tone. They may try to communicate in group discussions but, because they have problems expressing themselves, very often they go unheard. Anger and frustration can build up for them, causing throat and ear infections. Kyanite reduces fevers and calms hot conditions where there is too much heat in the body. It also eases stiff necks and stiff-necked attitudes, heals ear and throat infections and is a natural pain reliever. Kyanite can aid weight loss by encouraging communication, thereby releasing stored words and unwanted body weight. It has been used to bring down high blood pressure; also in the sickroom and for those terminally ill. Kyanite contains the royal colour of integrity and is uplifting to the soul as it searches for its maturity. It will bring guidance and faith, giving great encouragement to break loose from the chains of ignorance, desire and hatred. It will aid you in your struggle towards the light of your soul and your soul purpose. Use it to cut away the wrong mental, emotional and spiritual attitudes that have held you captive.
