Dr. Cubbin is a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with The Maudsley Hospital, London, St Andrews Hospital, Northampton, The Cardinal Clinic, Windsor and The Manor Hospital, Oxford. GMC Number: 4009027 Curriculum Vitae Qualifications: MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), MRCPsych (Member by examination of the Royal College of Psychiatrists), MSc (Master of Science in Psychological Medicine), DipCBT (Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DCH (Diploma in Child Health). Accreditation: Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983. Areas of Expertise: Mental Illness from age 16 to end of life. Dr Cubbin is trained in general adult psychiatry as well as old age psychiatry and is on the GMC Specialist Register for both these specialties. Her special interests are Adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and brain injury. I trained as a doctor at Bristol University Medical School. After working as a junior doctor in Accident and Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics, I moved to Oxford in 2004 to obtain dual training in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry on the Oxford Deanery Training Scheme. I am fully trained as an Adult Psychiatrist and in the Psychiatry of Old Age and am an expert in the treatment of Adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I also have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Oxford University. I am passionate about teaching and was awarded Oxford University Teacher of the Month, Autumn 2008. In my NHS role, I specialise in Adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the UK Adult ADHD National Referral Service at the Maudsley Hospital in London. After a short spell in General Adult Psychiatry in South East Hampshire's Community Mental Health Team I took up a part-time consultancy at St Andrews Hospital Northampton - the UK's largest not-for-profit mental health care charity - specialising in brain injury. I practice privately in Windsor and Oxford and keep up to date in psychiatry through Continuing Professional Development. I have published a number of papers and these are available for viewing below. I am an enthusiastic and conscientious psychiatrist, who has also gained experience out of the NHS in business, the management of people, of change, budgets and information technology. In particular I have worked on a large project measuring outcomes in the independent sector working as Associate and Assistant Medical Director at Bupa.
