He worked for over 10 years as a consultant in a community mental health team in High Wycombe and then for nearly 7 years in a Community Acute Service and an Assertive Outreach Team. He then worked in an Immigration Removal Centre doing psychiatry and treating substance misuse and later as Medical Director of Apple Hill Hospital, Hurley. He currently works part time in the NHS as a psychiatric liaison consultant with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust in Stoke Mandeville & Wycombe Hospitals. If you would like an appointment please feel free to ring for an informal chat with the friendly staff at Phoenix. There is not usually any significant waiting list and, whilst, Dr Allen will normally only see patients with the consent of their GP, if there are exceptional reasons why this should not be the case this can be discussed. If your GP gives you a referral letter, please let us have it in advance if possible. For details of Dr Allen's charges or other enquiries, please contact Phoenix via the number or e-mail above.

Fees are payable after each consultation unless you have an authorisation number from your insurance company enabling us to invoice them directly. Please note however, that, unless you are with BUPA or AXA, if there is a discrepancy between the fee and what the insurance company is willing to pay, the patient will be liable for the difference. Also, some insurance policies require an excess to be paid in every charging period. All major credit cards, with the exception of American Express, are accepted.
