Homeless
Love |
Matty
has been a friend of Edges Magazine for several years. He constantly
visits our office. He has had his share of suffering the tragedy of
homelessness. Although at times he has had no roof over his head, it
hasn't prevented him from falling in love with Lisa. They now hope
to move into a flat together. |

Lisa came to the house where
I was living when I'd got out of prison and she wanted to have a dig
(some Heroin) so I let her into the house to have a dig and we haven't
left each other since then really, just been stuck together. I'm from
Birkenhead, Merseyside, that's where I was born and grew up. Most of
my past revolves around children's homes, going into secure units -
running away from them, and I ended up in and out of prison. I am a
recovering Heroin addict; I've been on Heroin for 10 years now, been
through all little phases of smoking pot, taking acid, taking speed
and I'm on a Methadone course at the moment and both me and Lisa are
trying to get off the Heroin, sort our heads out and we want to get
married after Christmas and have some kids in a couple of years.
