Brian's Journey of Hope

BrianBrian spent some time with Edges Magazine, about three years ago, distributing it in the centre of London. He has returned to the House of St. Anne's, the home of Edges, very recently and has stopped in one of our self-contained flats. We have walked with Brian, giving him support and encouraging him to face his future. After several weeks with us he has now created his own action plan and is preparing to go to an Emmaus Community in Brighton. Brian states the following: -

When I first came to St. Anne's House, I was in a situation where I didn't feel like living any more, just really down. Basically, there was no future and I thought I wasn't going to get anywhere; I'd lost my partner, I'd lost my kid, and I was in a situation where I was around others but I was in a situation where I would soon get further down deep into the death zone. Since I've been to St. Anne's House, it has made me realise, open up and appreciate what I've got, the talents I have which I didn't realise I had. I've really improved myself coming to St. Anne's - it has been a Godsend. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't come.
