Human Nature

All I want to tell you

It could have been me.

A few better breaks is all

That stands between us.

These clothes only tell you

I got lucky.

Or blessed

Or something.

Inside I am the same.

We all search for something

And finding nothing much

Need more than we can find.

My life only went better

Because of some grace given

And a good choice at the lowest point.

I didn’t plan it that way and inside

I know I could have been you.

You need to know some of us don’t stand judging

It is just when you were moving we were standing still

Looking in other directions.

Human nature world wide is similar

And how we are beneath is all the same.

I found Edges on the Internet and I just wanted to write this poem
