Johnny – A T.H.O.M.A.S. Client
I get £28 a week, I give £22 to my landlord, so I have to borrow from my parents and rely on help from them and T.H.O.M.A.S. I would like to get a job, but at this time I don’t feel strong enough. I need time to adjust to living out there. I was in treatment and jail, where everything was done for me and now I’m getting used to doing everything for myself, everyday things like cooking, cleaning, growing in confidence to talk to people, so that I don’t give myself too much stress and go under again. On a positive note, even though I’m struggling, my life is better. My wildest dreams are coming true. I’ve got my family back, friends, people who care for and love me, N.A. meetings. I’m enjoying life at the moment.
