Subject: [Dagger] [PORC] Interrupted celebration Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 21:47:24 +0100 From: "Chris Cunliffe" To: "Daggerlist" The celebrations were still going on in Geddon. Everybody was happy, none more than Holm’ka who had been drinking steadily throughout the night. Suddenly a loud sound could be heard and everybody turned towards it. Dreadmaster Sollar was standing in the centre of the square, at the foot of the statue of the Dreadlord, and was proposing a toast. "Dreadmasters and Knights," he said in a loud voice. "Let us drink to the Knighthood of Dreadknight Holm’ka Jeer Nomn!" The square was filled with the sound of ale glasses clinking and people drinking. However, Dreadmaster Sollar suddenly stopped. And walked from the area. Nobody got in his way (his rank was that of First Dreadmaster, after all and was second only to the Great Lord and the Dreadlord in authority) and nobody paid any heed to where he was heading. He approached the Tower of Ebonarm slowly. Only once before had he been to the tower since he was made a Dreadmaster and that had been when he was offered the post of Dreadlord. He had not wanted anything more than he had – he was content to be with the people he considered as his children – and had politely refused the promotion. He desperately hoped that he was not to be offered it again – that would mean that the current one was dead, and he quite like Tenaka Khan. He entered the Tower and climbed the spiral staircase, absently fingering the medallion that he wore. This symbol of a gold, double tailed lion on a crimson background had been his crest before death, and was now the crest for Fist Sollar. Every member of the Fist had the emblem on their Tower Shields to identify them as a member of Fist Sollar. Slowly, he walked through the great double doors that lay open. "Dreadmaster Sollar," said the voice of Ebonarm. "Thou hast served faithfully for many years and now I must tell thee the final reason why Fist Sollar has been allowed to grow so very large. "Thou dost already know many of thy roles in Geddon, but there is one more that has been unimportant until now. Presently a man from another dimension called Sovere has decided that he should be the ruler of Tamriel. Of course, our main task is to defend Tamriel from the Daedra, however, my actual instructions at the beginning of time were to defend Tamriel from all invaders. "If this man does not cease his conquest, the Dreadarmies shall march against him. It is the task of thyself and Fist Sollar to persuade him of this. And this is the final reason why Fist Sollar is so large. The man, whose name is Jemelas Tamislane, will see one Fist, and thou shalt be able to tell the invader, quite truthfully, that there are several thousand other Fists. Hopefully this shall scare him into submission – if not, then the Dreadarmies must march. "On the morrow I shall open a Window to an area two miles from his camp. Be here with Fist Sollar at first light." Dreadmaster Sollar saluted in the manner of the Dreadarmies. "Great Lord," he said. "What of Dreadknight Holm’ka Jeer Nomn?" "Take him with thee," replied the Great Lord. "His powers are untrained as yet, but his sword arm is strong." Dreadmaster Sollar saluted again and turned on his heel to go to his rest. As he walked, he telepathically told the members of Fist Sollar to go to their beds, for a quest would begin on the morrow. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris John Cunliffe Chris John Cunliffe 1 Margaret Ave Standish Lower Ground Home Voice: 01942 824039 Wigan Home Fax: 01942 824039 Lancs WN6 8LU England Additional Information: Last Name Cunliffe First Name Chris Additional NameJohn Label Home 1 Margaret Ave Standish Lower Ground Wigan, Lancs WN6 8LU Engand
