Subject: [Dagger] [PORC] A proposition Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 16:27:09 -0400 From: "Jim Davis" To: ~ Before I start the installment, I am wondering (Gods! I need to find a different way to start my questions!) how does everyone like the new Lord Tamislane? He is much easier to write with now, as those silly ethics and "for the cause of good" problems are gone. Well, send to your replies to the list (or to me directly, if you wish to preserve a lurker status). By the way, it has been brought to my attention that I am running both sides of the gambit here. If you people would hurry up and start opposing me, then I will gladly crush your puny efforts. Now, on with the tale!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ As I was sleeping in my chambers, slightly overexerted for that was the first time I empowered a spell in that manner, Morgiah came to me. She had news of the battles. The underking's forces were doing well, not having yet lost a battle on their march to the Imperial City. The King of Worms was still raising the dead, which I realized would strike terror into the enemy. Imagine fighting in a battle. The soldier next to you collapses, dead, from his wounds. Several moments later, the soldier stands up, the flesh sloughs off the bones and his skeleton attacks you! How delightfully cruel. After telling me of the battle fronts, Morgiah leaned down and whispered a proposal into my ear. As she said it, my thoughts rushed back to Catris, who I realized was now lost to me. I would never feel her sweet lips again. A tear almost sprang up, but I bit my lip. Snapping myself back to reality, I looked up at Morgiah, saying, "Why would I need to have an heir? I am immortal. Would you like to be so as well?" Morgiah's gray skin paled for a moment, realizing the opportunity I had given her. She nodded. I sat up and took the seductive dark elf in my arms. I remember Mea mentioning something about how she wears nothing but red. Well, Mea would be pleased. In the dimly lit room, I could only see Morgiah's red eyes a moment before. As I sat up, I saw that the only color she was wearing was gray, and I do not mean clothing. As I prepared to cast the Sidhe spell to change her into a dark Sidhe, rather than a dark elf, she interrupted me. "Will the gods not object?" "Damn! I had not thought of the Tamrilien gods! They could be a problem, especially if the different temples ally against me. Forgetting myself, and Morgiah's..... suggestive attire, I got up and climbed the steps to the roof of the tower. Morgiah padded silently along behind me, now clothed in a long robe. I got to the top, and I shouted out to the Gods of Sovere. "Come to me now! My servitors! I am the Chosen One of Kali, your Queen and Ruler! You must heed my will!" As I finished, the entire pantheon of Sovere appeared. Kali, robed entirely in purple, stepped forward and took my face in her hands. She brought her lips to mine and kissed me. Power surged through me. I felt the tower leave my feet as Kali floated upwards, carrying me. My weaveglow activated due to my lack of concentration so close to the Goddess. Kali looked into my eyes as she drew her lips from mine. "You are doing well, my chosen. You are expanding my influence. I am proud, and I have called all the gods to help. Even Kiranom has consented, which is a first. The powers of the gods are your to command, save my own." We settled back down on the tower. A violent tremor shook the whole of the planet. Nature was balancing itself from the introduction of such power. I saw black-robed Zaknafoin, white armored Kitrinis, moon-lit Elasias, K'kriqu and all the others. As well, some outer planar beasties were interested in my cause. I allowed them to take their places where they may, till I needed their powers. They all disappeared, but into ether, not from Tamriel. I went back downstairs, now energized, but my thoughts were lingering on Catris. "No," I thought to myself, "she is gone from my life. She could never love me again. I just hope that she is taken in by some adventurer to come and oppose me. Then I'll see her again and I'll might be able to charm her with my magic into accepting the new me. Upon returning to my dim room, I remembered Morgiah's proposition. I turned stripping off my tunic by wripping the seams. Pulling her robe from her, I flung her onto the bed...... (I know that I have become a bit bad now, but my sense of decency still is present. I will not tell the whole details of the whole encounter with Morgiah, as there may be children reading this. Anyway, you people must have a good imagination to read this, so think for yourselves!) So, several hours later, while Morgiah slept, I casted the spell to change her into a Sidhe. She screamed as her body changed, growing a little heavier and a lot stronger. The change could be reversed, but only by Kali or I. With my new lady-love, I wait, still longing for my old lady-love. ~Lord Jemalas Tamislane, Master Dweomerkeeper, Ruler of Kalisis, High Lord of Thornwood, soon to be ruler of Tamriel! jrdavis@penn.com ICQ- 16848203
