"Jemalas" I shouted as loudly as I could. I heard Mea shouting something, but her voice was lost on the wind whistling past us. Zarth's singing did little to help the carry of her message. I saw her ship through my ability to detect the lingering heat in objects. I noted the shape of her ship, standing out against the cold waters of the Iliac Bay like an orc in a fairy circle. I alight gently on the ground before her ship. Seeing that the ship was too small for me to fit, I crawled up the back and took up residence on the command deck, leaving enough room for Mea to reach the wheel. She looked up at me and said that the trip would take a few hours, as the winds were favorable. I smiled, inadvertently showing quite a few teeth and startling Mea, saying "With my wings, I can shorten that." As soon as everyone was aboard, I began to beat my wings. I gripped the wood, accidently puncturing holes in the hull, but they were far above the waterline, so I used them as claw holds. I heard the wood groan as I began pushing the ship forward. I turned my head to Mea and said "I owe you a new ship. By the time this trip is over, the command deck will be too loose to stay on." I stretched my neck and grabbed my pack in my mouth. I dropped it at her feet and told her to open it. She found a small sack of Soverian platinum coins, more than enough for a large ship and a nice house. "It is yours now. It is your payment for the tour and putting up with the..... unique circumstances you and Zarth had been thrust into." I closed my mouth and looked to the moon, then back at my body, watching the moonlight play and dance across my scales. ~Lord Jemalas Tamislane of Thornwood, Ruler of Kalisis JDavis109@juno.com _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
