I curled, my insides on fire with the change. Catris reverted quickly and painlessly, as her draconic form was not far removed in size from her Sidhe form. I saw Zarth cover her with his cloak. Driven nearly to madness by the pain, I slammed my head into the deck, trying to distract myself. Mea deftly stepped aside, then used some spell that held me in place as I shifted. I was sprawled on the deck, the pain still lingering. A blanket was spread over me and I heard Mea casting some kind of fortitude spell on Zarth. Huge arms, banded with muscle like iron boa constrictors, wrapped around me and carried me into more private quarters. Mea brought Catris and laid her beside me. Before I passed out from exhaustion, I heard Mea expressing doubts to Zarth about my manners in court. I bolted upright, said "I am better now!" and fell into sleep. A few hours later, I felt the warm fingers of beneficial magicka wrap around me. Catris had cast a spell to replenish my stamina. I woke up gently and sat up. I wrapped my arms around Catris and said "It is over. Our bout with lycanthropy has passed." I got dressed in fine formal wear, an ebony longsword, black silk pants, knee-high leather boots, a purple tunic and an ebony tower shield, all of which were held in a bag that opens onto an extra-dimensional space. I found Mea on deck. I strode across the deck, my former grace restored. "Ah, beautiful Mea," I said to the dusky wood elf, "My manners along the lines of dining are restored. The bestial nature of the dragon is what caused my poor etiquette. I still require about twice as much food as another person of similiar heighth and build, but now I will not fall prey to fits of gorging myself. I have heard of a Queen Aki.. Aquith.. Akith'ori? She sounds absolutely enchanting. I have also heard you make references to a Queen Akubi. Does she not reside in Daggerfall Province?" Mea started to reply, but I continued. "This morning, as I was searching my bag of holding for this apparel, I found a letter from a Princess Morgiah of Wayrest." I handed the letter to Mea, who unfolded the letter and read it. "My dearest Lord Jemalas Tamislane, I have heard much about you from my network of information gatherers. I would be enchanted if you were to meet me here in Wayrest Palace, so that we may discuss your world of Sovere. As you may already know, I am a dark elf, a race alien to your world. If you do not know, my race, as well as all elves of Tamriel, live a little over a millenia. I am patient to wait, but only for one year. If you do not contact me within that time-frame, I will be most displeased, which, for some, is a deadly state of affairs. Sincerely, Princess Morgiah" Mea read the letter and looked up, saying that we should finish Sentinel Province before we run off to Wayrest. She then tried to return the platinum I had given her the night before. I refused and pushed it back. "I have ruined the aftcastle of your ship. If you will not buy a house or ship, use it to repair the damages I have caused and then buy yourself something nice." We disembarked from the ship and headed into Sentinel City, intent on going to the Palace. ~Lord Jemalas Tamislane of Thornwood, Ruler of Kalisis JDavis109@juno.com _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
