I bowed to the queen as best I could, very aware of how bad I looked. My right eye pounded and my head felt like an anvil in an armory. Two burly guards slid along the walls of the cell and unshackled me. I fell to the floor like a broken marionette. The two guards scooped me off the floor and off to a room where I was cleaned, fed, healed and dressed. Meanwhile, I would think that Catris, Mea, Adeline, and Zarth would have had tea with the queen. After several hours of study from the court sorcerer, I was taken to my companions. We spent the time talking of the nicities of court, the odd dragon sightings in Menevia, and a myriad other things. Finally, Mea shot me a look that told me what no words could have. It was time to go. I stood and bowed to the Queen. I took her hand, kissed it gently and said "Your Majesty, till we meet again." She blushed at this stunning display of ettiquete, then I turned and strode silently out the door, Catris on my arm. On the way out, my sword and shield were returned to me, shined and sharpened. Standing at the top of the stairs, I turned to Mea. "Lady Mea, may we attend to the matter of this letter from the dark elven princess, Morgiah? I remember you mentioning about her having the largest information network in Tamriel. Such an ally would be useful." Mea did not answer. She merely walked past me in the direction of her ship. Zarth gave me a puzzled look and followed sheepishly. We followed, not knowing our way around. By the time we returned to the ship (which was completely repaired and paid for with Soverian platinum), Mea had decided.
