Subject: [Dagger] [PORC] The threat is at an end. Date: Thu, 6 Aug 1998 18:02:52 -0400 From: "Jim Davis" To: After several hours of biting a wad of cloth that was stuffed in my mouth to stifle my screams of terror, I finally came around. My head was lying in Catris' lap and my other companions were watching with worried expressions on their faces. A wet cloth was run across my lips, then I sat up and looked at Mea. "Have you heard of psionics? You should be tutored in the arts of the mind. You have a lot of natural talent." She shrugged and mentioned something about talking about it later. I got up, rather noisily in my ebony plates, and opened the door. We left the closet and ventured around a bit, finally finding the main temple. We kicked in the doors and I ran in, charging ahead. I saw Sabidon, the undead head of the SLE, his face buried in a book. He merely looked up at me, with those dead eyes, and raised his hand. I felt the invisible fingers close around me and a thought went through my mind. "Oh caca." The thought was expelled by shock as Sabidon shifted his hand and I was slammed against a side wall, after crashing through a stone pillar. I heard Mea calling out to see if I was alright, and I answered, "Yes..... I must work on that impulse control though." I melded into the shadows, a trick I learned long ago, and snuck around to the altar while my friends occupied Sabidon's attention. I heard Mea, Alexis, and Catris using spells, Adeline taking advantage of her vampiric strength by throwing chunks of rock from the pillar I went through, and Zarth yelling out his unique battle-cry, "Slice and Dice!" As I was moving, I decided to reveal something about myself only my soverian companions knew. As I skirted up the edge of the altar, I removed the soft leather glove that was always on my left hand. Mea and Zarth's eyes lit up with alarm as they saw the dark lichfire surrounding my hand. I grasped my sword and Ghalleva shone bright with the lichfire. Sabidon was otherwise occupied as I snuck up on him and drove my swords through his chest. I lifted him over me and yanked my swords as I threw his decaying body. I sheathed my swords and turned to Sabidon. I walked over to his body and heard my companions coming up behind me. Sabidon turned his bleached skull to look at me. He started to speak, but was cut off as my boot ground his skull into powder. The threat to the Sidhe was gone, for now. Kiranom, the diety behind the SLE, would not be dormant for long. A new leader would arise soon enough, but not on Tamriel. I went to hug my companions, being especially careful not to steal their life force with my lich powers. Catris and Adeline accepted the embrace, but Mea, Zarth, and Alexis drew their weapons on me. "What is wrong?" I asked. The only reply I got was............. ~Lord Jemalas Tamislane, Ruler of Kalisis, High Lord of Thornwood jrdavis@penn.com
