Paola and Paulina, two strangers who meet by chance, discover that they have something very peculiar in common: they're physically identical! This inexplicable coincidence is a godsend for the selfish and scheming Paola, who sees her newfound "twin" as the perfect ticket out of her boring married life. Paola coerces Paulina - a lonely, kind and sensitive young woman-into taking her place at the Bracho household so that she can spend time traveling with her lover. What Paola doesn't realize is that the role of wife and stepmother will fit Paulina to a tee - and that the charming impostor will take over much more than Paola bargained for.
