One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life  (Psalm 27:4)

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them ...
is like a [wise] man which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundations on a rock:
and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it:
for it was founded upon a rock
(Luke 6:47-48)

Let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ
(1 Corinthians 3:10b-11)

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)

What the Bible Says About Cremation  (2015)

"Although the Bible does not specifically speak to the subject of cremation, we do find in the Word of God that only the heathen tribes cremated people ... while the Jews always buried bodies in graves ... Although the scripture does not forbid cremation; neither does it condone it. Before I go any further, let me say now, that even if you had a loved one cremated or know a Christian who was cremated; it will not affect their eternal destiny. A relationship with Christ or lack of it determines our eternal destinies. However, there are Christian practices and heathen practices and in our day because of a lack of knowledge, some in the church have adopted heathen practices in numerous areas..."

Cremation: What Does God Think?  (22 March 2013)

"Is cremation a matter of Christian liberty? In certain places land space is so crowded that burial plots are very expensive and in some cases there are efforts by the government to discourage burial in preference to cremation. ... Historically, Christian burial has been a testimony of faith in the bodily resurrection, whereas cremation has been practiced among Hindus and others who deny the bodily resurrection and who believe in reincarnation..."

Cremation - A Biblical Study  (2002)

"It is true that the word Cremation does not occur in the Bible, but a quick study of words associated with death, i.e. burial, tombs, dying, grave, burning, fire, reveals it has much to say on the subject of how to dispose of the dead..."

What Does the Bible Say About Cremation?  (No Date)

"Does the Bible support cremation for the believer or teach burial? A careful examination of Scriptural evidence along with earnest prayer should lead us to an understanding of God's will..."

Cremation: Not for Christians  (1990, Gospel Standard Trust Publications, Hertfordshire, UK)

"This booklet is ... written for those who profess Christian beliefs and who accept the divine authority and full inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. Among apparent Christians, however, cases occur where what happens to their bodies (or to the bodies of near relatives) after death seems to be a matter of indifference: they 'do not mind' whether they are buried or cremated, or they are content to leave it to their executors or their relatives to do as they wish with their bodies. This booklet sets out to show that this matter in not one of indifference, even if that indifference is cloaked in the worthy argument that it is 'the soul that matters'..."

Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
