Twin Tub & Wascator

Hoover ceased manufacturing Twin tubs in the early 90s' .

However since that time we have accumulated over 100 ! in stock.

Although not new these second hand T5090 Hoovermatic Twin Tubs often look like new and cost Ł 495 with a 30 minute timer.

These twin tubs are frequently used for print durabilty testing.

Durawash can also be supplied.

We offer a sevice and repair facility on these machines as well as new or second hand spares from stock.


The Wascator FOM7l MP-Lab, manufactured by Electrolux Wascator AB, is a standard, reference washing machine. It is used to determine the stability of fabrics and garments to washing and to investigate the effects of detergents and chemicals. The machine is robustly constructed - the drum and external panels are manufactured in stainless steel and are rigidly fixed to a galvanised internal frame. The Wascator has an attractive and durable appearance, which complements and enhances a modern testing laboratory.
The equipment is microprocessor- controlled and accepts up to 99 programmes. Programmes can be easily entered or modified by the user, either manually at the keypad or electronically from a cassette. The liquid crystal display shows up to four lines of text. When a programme is running, the display provides useful information relating to the current status of that programme. For example, it shows The programme sequence running and the time to completion of the total programme. The Wascator complies with IEC 456 and fulfills the requirements for a "Type Al Washer" specified in BS EN 26330 and ISO 6330. It is also suitable for M & S Test Method PlA. The machine is delivered preprogrammed for the BS EN and ISO standards and, with prior approval, the Marks and Spencer wash programmes. The optional, programmable Soap Dispenser permits continuous, unattended running - detergent being dispensed automatically, in the requisite quantity, during repeat wash cycles. The perspex shrinkage templates and rulers meet the requirements of B54931, ISO 3759 and M &SP1A and are used for the preparation, marking and measuring of fabric specimens and garments, in tests for the determination of dimensional change after washing and drying.
