The Blues guitar style is more popular today than at any other time in
its long history. Emphasis on feel, rhythmic ideas and melodic ingenuity
are just some of the skills needed to improvise in an effective and convincing
manner. As the Blues style is an evolving art form, the Fastline Blues
Tutors reflect the changing emphasis in regards melody, substitution etc.,
in each package. For example, the Primer pack introduces all the basic
techniques used as well as giving a large selection of rhythm & blues
orientated music. The Intermediate/Advanced Tutor includes examples of
hybrid picking as well as introducing the student to line substitution.
The Advanced tutor deals in-depth with substitution ideas and reaches
the boundary of jazz guitar.
