The religious caste is responsible for the spiritual care and nurturing of the Minbari people. They are the dreamers and singers, teachers and priests of the race and guardians of the words of the prophets. |

The warrior caste is responsible for the safekeeping of the Minbari. They are the guardians and protectors who fight against all threats from other races. The caste members tend to be very well-trained and physically capable. |

Known Clans: Star Riders, Wind Swords, Moon Shields, Night Walkers, Fire Wings.

The worker caste is responsible for maintaining all of the tasks that keep a multi-planet Federation running. They perform the (often) menial work and labour such as building the cities and ships the other castes have often taken for granted. Known Clans: None |
Despite their differences all three castes have their own internal government, each answerable to the Grey Council.
As well as belonging to a caste, each Minbari also belongs to a clan. Minbari are always welcomed as if relatives by other members of their clan.
